Kama began playing volleyball at the age of 12.  She started as a setter in middle school. She played 4 years on the Amelia High School Varsity Volleyball team, the last 3 years as DS/Libero.  She played club volleyball for five years- her last two years playing for Cincy Crush. During her senior year of high school, Kama received the award for Best Defensive Player.
Academic All American Award all 4 years of High School.

She received a scholarship to play volleyball at Mount St. Joseph University.  She played Libero for the Lions under Coach Jon Bennett.  She was a captain and named Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.   Kama Charles also garnered All-HCAC accolades during her time at the Mount.  She was named Honorable Mention All-HCAC.   She was also selected as the Lions representative to the All-Sportsmanship team.  In May 2019, Kama graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.  She was also awarded Outstanding Marketing Student of the Year her senior year and an acting member of Sigma Beta Delta, a National Honor Society for business majors.

She currently works as a Talent Acquisition Partner at Integrity Express Logistics.

Kama took on a coaching role in 2015 with Cincy Crush. She assisted Director/Coach/Dad Brian Charles for 3 years, before transitioning to a Head Coach.

She continues to play competitive sand volleyball once a week. In her spare time she enjoys lifting weights at the gym, traveling, and snuggling up with her two fur babies, Moose and Ollie!
