What is the difference between National, American and Regional Teams?
Regional Teams consist of athletes from the beginner to the highly skilled. The competition level can vary from recreational to competitive. The majority of OVR teams fall in the Regional Division. National Teams are considered highly competitive. The majority of tournaments at the National level are 2, 3 or 4 day tournaments. A number of tournaments that our National teams will participate in will require travel outside of a 2-hour radius. Teams in the American division will not require the travel associated with the National division, but will compete at a stronger level of competition than the Regional division. There is a chance of 1 or 2 tournaments falling outside the 2-hour radius for our American teams. The season for National teams also goes over a month longer after the OVR season completes requiring more commitment from the players and families.
