Coach Derrick rahe

Derrick has been coaching volleyball for 11yrs for both girls and boys. His teams have been division champions multiple times as well as have appeared in 6 end of season tournament finals bringing home first place trophies in 2 of them. Derrick is married and has three children. His son played for St. Veronica and SASEAS then attended Moeller High School as a Libero/DS playing all 4 years and winning 2 state championships. He currently plays club and intramural volleyball at Ball State University.  His middle daughter is in Theater and will be graduating SUA in the Spring. His youngest daughter is starting her 5th season in club volleyball as a Setter/Oppo.

Derrick's coaching philosophy is to emphasize fundamentals in all aspects of the game. At this age, learning how to function as a team and grow the players’ love of the sport is a high priority. When he is not coaching or at tournaments,

Derrick is an OSHAA Volleyball Official. He is also the GCCYS Boys Volleyball commissioner supervising all the catholic grade school teams in the Cincinnati area. His favorite hobby outside of volleyball is playing and watching Golf.
