Coach Jeff DavisI learned how to play volleyball as a sophomore in high school where I immediately fell in love with the sport and continued to play on the club team at Eastern Kentucky University, as a setter. After graduating with a B.S. degree in Education, I worked at Amelia Elementary School as their physical education teacher for 35 years, retiring in 2011. During these years, I was the women’s varsity volleyball coach at Amelia High School for 20 years and then left Amelia to be the varsity coach at Anderson High for 20 years. I am currently the varsity coach at New Richmond High, recently finishing my fourth season.
Over the years I have won several league championships, as well as league coach of the year honors. My last 6 years at Anderson high school, we averaged 18 wins a season, with 1 league championship. My last two years at New Richmond have been extremely successful and rewarding, going 20-3 with a league championship and Coach of the Year in 2021. In 2022, we were even better going 21-2, also with a league championship and Coach of the Year. I have coached club volleyball for many years, mostly at Cincy Classics, 14’s through 18’s. My coaching philosophy revolves around the idea of players and coaches having fun while increasing each player’s social, emotional, mental, and physical growth through the sport of volleyball. Hopefully the end result is individual growth evolving into team unity and growth. Off the court I like traveling to a beach somewhere with my wife, Diana, and spending time with my two grown daughters Katie and Ashley. If I am not on a beach or coaching volleyball, you would probably find me on a golf course. I am extremely excited to start coaching with Cincy Crush! Memberships
