Coach Paulina Nawiesniak

Paulina was born and raised in Poland.  She moved to NYC in 2007 and discovered that European handball, a sport she played nationally in Poland, wasn't available in the US. This led her to volleyball, which she began playing in 10th grade and quickly fell in love with. To hone her skills, she joined a volleyball club, best decision ever!

During her time at Francis Lewis High School, she and her team won the PSAL City Championship. After high school, she attended Hunter College where she primarily played as an outside hitter and defensive specialist but also served as a setter and right-side hitter as needed. During her time at Hunter, her team won the CUNY championship, and she had the honor of serving the final points in the 5th set of the game that clinched their victory—a memory she will never forget, winning this granted them a ticket to NCAAs.  She has coached at another local club previously and she is excited to bring her enthusiasm and her style of coaching to Cincy Crush.

Today, she is a proud mom to her son Antoni, a happy wife to her husband Jakub, and she works as a registered nurse in a hospital.
