#AskMeWhy #CincyCrushCares

Picture
You might be asking "What's up with the #AskMeWhy hashtag?".   Our club was started in 2013.   The Tristate has a large number of clubs in the area and people often ask why parents chose to play for Cincy Crush.   What differentiates us from other clubs in the area?  While we can say its our great coaches and staff or our year-round training facility or how we strongly believe in getting to know your daughter and not another number in the system, the parents always have something else to say.   Below are some of those feelings we thought we would share:

Our girls may never play volleyball past high school.   So what is the point of club then?   I can tell you the point of OUR club.   Through our actions, we teach our daughters how to be part of a community.   We teach them that it takes a village to accomplish great things.   We teach them that the entire club is part of our family so we cheer on our other teams when we can.   Our coaches teach them that sometimes your best game played doesn’t result in a win on the court, but it is a win.   They learn respect and how to be humble.   We are Crush.   We are Family.   We are BIGGER than volleyball.   #AskMeWhy and I will always tell you why!
Another thing that distinguishes our club from other clubs is our commitment to helping out those in need.   Each year our #CincyCrushCares initiative identifies a need in the community and our teams collectively work together to help out where we can.

Clermont Senior Services

We start off our the first 2024 #CincyCrushCares campaign of the season with a hefty donation to Clermont Senior Services. Our families understood the assignment and helped us collect over 525 items!! Clermont Senior Services has been around for over 50 years and is dedicated to serving the older adults of Clermont county in a variety of ways and we are honored to have helped them with much needed items.

The below message is from one of the coordinators at the senior services:
“Thank you for your generous donation to Clermont Senior Services, Inc. It is through the support of community donors such as your organization , that helps seniors remain in their home. Majority of our seniors live on fixed incomes and it can be very difficult for them to purchase everyday items. Your generous donation will help hundreds of seniors. Thank you for caring about the seniors.”
Thanks again for helping us give back to the community!!

Matthew 25: Ministries Backpacks

Picture
Sixty-Seven! That’s right! That is how many backpacks our Crush family collected during the Sand Fundraiser. We partnered with Matthew 25 Ministries for this donation collection. This organization serves the underprivileged and disaster victims throughout the United States and around the world! Our donated bags will be used for back to school in underprivileged areas in the United States as well as for other purposes across the ocean. It doesn’t take a lot but it takes us all and the Crush family definitely showed up!

SOLEs4SOULS

#CincyCrushCares and the Crush family were at it again! We donated backpacks last month and this month our eyes were focused on FEET. Cincy Crush partnered with Sole4Souls to host a shoe drive. These shoes are used in underserved areas around the country and overseas. They take them in all shapes, sizes and condition … and even all smells! We were able to collect 217 pairs of shoes! Let that sink in. Check out this organization to learn about all the good stuff they do and thank you to our Cincy Crush family for again showing the community that sometimes Volleyball is more than Volleyball!

2020

This 2020 season we partnered with Matthew 25: Ministries and donated over 50 backpacks for children in need both local and afar.
Picture
We also collected much needed items for the James Saul Homeless shelter.
Picture
We also had a number of teams give back directly to others in the community and abroad this year:
Picture
16 Orange spent one their few weekends off at Funky Sunshine helping make ‘yarn’ from recycled bags that get woven into mats that are passed out to the homeless.
Picture
It’s important to remember those who make it possible to enjoy these freedoms during these crazy times we are living in.  One of the siblings of a player on one of our teams (Shelby Copenhaver, sister of Jordan Copenhaver) was deployed overseas in the thick of things. 16 Black decided to collect items ranging from socks, approved foods, playing cards, water bottles and much more to send over and show their support.

2019

During the 2019 season, our teams collected over 500 personal care items to aid those effected by the hurricane on the East Coast and the forest fire victims in California.
