Alaina started volleyball when she was in 3rd grade at C.O.Harrison Elementary. But it wasn’t until she started Club volleyball in middle school that she really began to understand and build a love for the game. She continued to play for club teams and school teams all throughout middle school and high school. She graduated high school at Oak Hills where she was the starting Opposite hitter for their Varsity team. She currently is playing volleyball at the University of Cincinnati-Clermont College.
This was her first season at UCC, She played as the starting opposite hitter and she led her team in kills. This year, her UCC team was ranked first in their division, with a overall record of 31-7. Her team traveled to the National Championship where they placed third. Throughout this past season she gained a lot of knowledge about the game and who she is. She looks forward to learning even more about the game, but now from a coaches perspective.
This is her first year assistant coaching. She will be assisting Kyle Fahrenkamp for the 14’s Black team. She looks forward for this season and gaining some valuable experiences along the way!
