Assistant Coach Gary Bauer

Gary Bauer has grown up in the volleyball world ever since he can remember. He grew up watching his older sister, Sarah (former Cincy Crush Coach) play volleyball in high school, club, and college. He started playing volleyball in the 4th grade along with baseball and basketball. Once in high school at Archbishop McNicholas, he started all four years on the varsity team as a middle and an outside, and played outside for the Cincinnati Attack club team for four years. In college he played for the University of Cincinnati's club team for two years. Also while in college, he started being a volunteer assistant coach at McNick for their JV girls team and continued being an volunteer assistant for 7 years. Since then he has continued to play volleyball recreationally in sand leagues and still plays hard court tournaments from time to time.
