Coach Portia DavisPortia has been coaching youth volleyball for over 10 years ranging from 2nd grade to high school. She is known by her players as Coach “P”. She has coached with several organization throughout the city which includes Lakota Sports Organization, Milford Youth Volleyball Club, St. Columban School and Cincinnati Public Schools JV team. She started her club coaching career in 2019 with Cincy Classics and with Arsenal Volleyball Club 2020.
Portia has been playing court and sand volleyball for over 30 years. Portia started playing volleyball while attending Fairfield School District middle/high school She later attended the University of Cincinnati studying Psychology. Currently she works as a Mortgage Loan Officer along with hosting home buyer’s seminars and attending community service events. She has also volunteered as a mentor for underprivileged youth with the Cincinnati area. In addition to volleyball she enjoys fishing, boating and camping with her husband Micah and two children Braxton and Micaela. She has instilled that same love for volleyball and core values to her daughter Micaela who plays volleyball as well. Portia’s goal for every player is to improve their skills throughout the season, increase their self-esteem while making sure each player has a positive experience. She loves coaching volleyball and her mission is to continue to support and engage each player for their personal growth. She is excited to continue her coaching career with the Cincy Crush Family.
